			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>C&#8217;est la question que s&#8217;est posé <a href="http://danielghebert.wordpress.com/2012/02/06/why-i-should-work-for-radian6/">Daniel Hebert</a>, étudiant en école de commerce, pour motiver sa volonté de travailler avec l&#8217;éditeur canadien de Social Media Monitroring, <a title="Salesforce.com rachète Radian6, faut-il s’en réjouir ?" href="http://www.demainlaveille.fr/2011/04/03/salesforce-com-rachete-radian6-faut-il-sen-rejouir/">racheté</a> par SalesForce. Il détaille sa démarche de veille avec l&#8217;ensemble des outils qu&#8217;il mobilise pour la surveillance des réseaux sociaux, et la gestion des conversations.</p>
<p>L&#8217;initiative est plutôt intéressante et sort du lot pour la simple raison qu&#8217;elle est &laquo;&nbsp;classique&nbsp;&raquo;. Pas de vidéo, pas de CV qui sort de l&#8217;ordinaire, ni mise en scène excentrée. Pour l&#8217;instant, et à ma connaissance, je n&#8217;ai pas eu vent d&#8217;une démarche similaire ici en France pour les éditeurs de veille.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Facebook dispose depuis un bon moment d&#8217;une des plus grandes bases de renseignement personnalisé au monde. En plus, c&#8217;est une base fréquemment mise à jour, dynamique et évolutive puisqu&#8217;elle vit au rythme de ses utilisateurs. Avec quelques 800 millions d&#8217;inscrits, les conversations autour de marques, de produits et de personnalités ont encore un bel avenir.</p>
<p>Si des éditeurs de veille se sont déjà emparé de ce créneau en intégrant les flux de ce réseau social dans leurs offres, avec plus ou moins de pertinence et de difficultés (sémantique, technique, fonctionnelle&#8230;), il me semble que Facebook peut jouer un rôle de challenger, même indirectement.</p>
<p>En effet, il y a quelques jours, et à l&#8217;occasion des présidentielles américaines, Facebook a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/notes/us-politics-on-facebook/politico-facebook-team-up-to-measure-gop-candidate-buzz/10150461091205882">annoncé</a> sur son blog, le lancement d&#8217;une opération de veille sur le buzz lié aux candidats, avec en prime une analyse des sentiments. Cerise sur le gâteau, Facebook décrit de manière assez claire la démarche :</p>
<blockquote><p>Facebook will compile mentions of the candidates in U.S. users’ posts and comments as well as assess <strong>positive and negative</strong> sentiments expressed about them. Facebook’s data team will use <strong>automated software tools</strong> frequently used by researchers to infer sentiment from text.</p></blockquote>
<p>Avec à l&#8217;appui une capture visualisant le prototype et le résultat :</p>

<p>Donc Facebook dispose des technologies et des ressources nécessaires pour conduire ce type d&#8217;opérations. Il y a du calcul d&#8217;occurrence pour la volumétrie des citations des candidats, des équipes de chercheurs et de linguistes pour l&#8217;étude des tonalités, avec une automatisation (plus ou moins exhaustive) du processus. Quant à l&#8217;analyse à proprement parler, Facebook s&#8217;allie avec <a href="http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/71345.html">Politico</a> pour la restitution finale des résultats.</p>
<p>A travers ces premiers éléments, il est évident que des opportunités de mobilisation de technologies de surveillance et d&#8217;analyse des conversations soient bien présentes, et certainement se développeront de plus en plus. Les élections sont un premier exemple, mais il n&#8217;est pas exclu que des évènements commerciaux, sportifs, internationaux de grande envergure soient aussi à l&#8217;étude. A titre d&#8217;exemple, je pense au SuperBowl, à la coupe du monde de football, à des sommets internationaux comme Davos, voire même des catastrophes naturelles comme le dernier séisme japonais.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Une étude fin 2011 commandité par Dell et menée par Forrester Consulting a fait l&#8217;objet d&#8217;une infographie remarquable. Il s&#8217;agit de comprendre comment les marques américaines (200 entreprises) réagissent et prévoient leur activité de veille sur les médias sociaux.</p>
<p>Les résultats clefs à mon avis sont les suivants :</p>
<ul>
<li>50% des marques considèrent qu&#8217;une fonction &laquo;&nbsp;social media&nbsp;&raquo; est importante mais non prioritaire et ne fait pas partie du coeur de métier.</li>
<li>Seulement 6% des marques mènent des activités de veille et engagent des actions sur les médias sociaux.</li>
<li>Le principal frein réside dans l&#8217;absence de budget consacré à l&#8217;activité de veille.</li>
<li>58% des marques pensent que la veille sert à influencer la perception des internautes clients.</li>
</ul>

L&#8217;annonce confirme le développement de ce marché de niche qui connaît par ailleurs une concentration soutenue.</p>
<p>Ce qui est intéressant dans cette <a href="http://www.lithium.com/who-we-are/events/press-releases/2012/lithium-technologies-raises-$53.4-million-in-financing" target="_blank">annonce</a>, c&#8217;est que ce tour de table s&#8217;est effectuée auprès d&#8217;une filiale du Groupe SAP : SAP Ventures. Je rappelle que SAP, et pour contrer son concurrent SalesForce, s&#8217;est <a href="http://www.cfoworld.com/technology/27171/netbase-partnership-takes-sap-social-analytics" target="_blank">rapproché</a> de NetDeals pour développer son offre de Social Analytics.</p>

<p>Je signale, pour clarifier la situation, qu&#8217;aucun moyen illégal n&#8217;a été mis en oeuvre pour accéder à ce contenu, contrairement à ce que certains peuvent penser. Il s&#8217;agit bien, de plusieurs adresses web renvoyant vers ces portails, partagées par un utilisateur sur un célèbre site de partage de favoris. Ces adresses sont accessibles au public, sans aucune compétence informatique particulière. Une simple requête sur le mot &laquo;&nbsp;veille&nbsp;&raquo; permet de remonter ces résultats. <del>A l&#8217;instant où j&#8217;écris ces lignes, ces adresses sont encore consultables sur le site de partage</del>.</p>

<p>Chaque témoignage revient sur les stratégies mises en oeuvre par l&#8217;entreprise pour contrer ou gérer une crise, améliorer son image auprès de ses clients et ses stakeholders ou encore intégrer les médias sociaux dans leurs stratégies de communication. McDonald&#8217;s revient ainsi sur sa manière à remonter la pente après la crise d&#8217;image liée aux problématiques de santé dans les produits &laquo;&nbsp;junkfood&nbsp;&raquo;. Nous y trouvons aussi les actions menées par Coca-Cola pour ses projets grand-public en se basant sur son expertise en marketing ou encore la description de la démarche d&#8217;un média classique comme BSkyB dans sa transition vers de nouveaux espaces de communication, comme les médias sociaux.</p>
<p>Pour chaque témoignage, l&#8217;expert sollicité propose une figure d&#8217;une personnalité qui représenterait selon lui le &laquo;&nbsp;reputation manager&nbsp;&raquo; par excellence. Mon choix préféré est celui de Vanessa Canzini / Ebay : <em>Nicolas Machiavel.</em></p>

En effet, SAS, l&#8217;éditeur de Business Intelligence a <a href="http://www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2040797/sas-touts-conversation-monitoring-tool-social-media-streams">annoncé</a> le lancement prochain de son offre propriétaire de Social Media Monitoring. L&#8217;objectif de cette offre et de proposer un outil adéquat aux entreprises pour gérer les conversations sur les réseaux sociaux et par la même leur réputation.</p>
<p>Baptisé The Conversation Centre, l&#8217;outil est dédié pour l&#8217;instant à la gestion des flux Twitter et intègrera prochainement Facebook et Linkedin.
